Section 25

Release: Move On LP + CD

A Factory Records favourite, an act who have been produced by Martin Hannett, who have received plaudits from Tony Wilson, a band mentioned as luminaries in one of the greatest indie dance songs of all time, LCD Soundsystem's 'Losing My Edge'

Hailing from Poulton Le Fylde, if only for the grace of an incredible, burgeoning post punk music scene coming to Blackpool and their own supreme talents, Section 25 found themselves sharing the stage with Joy Division. Following that Section 25 were invited to join Factory Records and released their first 7" single with them, which was produced by none other than Ian Curtis and Rob Gretton at the peak of their Joy Division years

At the height of their success, Section 25 released LPs on Factory, were produced by Bernard Sumner, Martin Hannett, had sleeves designed by Peter Saville and extensively toured Europe

From that period, Section 25 have, through turbulence, consistently put out solid studio albums and finally, astoundingly to us, landed on 9x9 Records to release their 13th album 'Move On'

2024 was a big year for the band and 'Move On' was received with glee from the bands eager fanbase. They also released a super limited remix record, The Outernationale Remixes. You can get yourself a copy below
